Magnacraft 10×25 Binoculars Review

There are a number of reasons why people purchase binoculars, but may don’t understand that a quality pair of binoculars can make a big difference in what you see, how you see it, and the strain it may put on your eyes.

Additionally, not knowing what to look for can be equally as problematic, because just comparing magnification isn’t enough. When it comes right down to it, optics are by far the most important quality.

However, when deciding which pair of binoculars will best suit your needs you should also take into consideration comfort, performance, budget, and ease of use.

As it turns out, the Magnacraft 10x25 Binoculars happen to be a pair that many people find to be a great fit for those starting out.

What are you using them for?

When looking for a pair of binoculars, you first must consider what you’re using them for. For instance, are you planning to use them for a single, specific use, or will you use them year-round for multiple reasons?

The Magnacraft 10x25 binoculars are great for everyday outdoor use, including sporting events, bird or nature watching, light surveillance in the home, hunting, and for use while hiking or casual boating.

Additionally, because these entry-level bins are more compact and may be folded in and out slightly to make them easier to carry, they are ideal for elderly people who can’t see as well – even to assist with short trips to the grocery store.

As a budget-friendly option, Magnacraft 10x25s are perfect for gift-giving as well, as their price point allows them to be a great starter for those who have never owned a pair of binoculars before. They are also a fantastic choice for children who really want their own “real” pair, but who aren’t quite yet ready to take good enough care of some that may cost a little bit more.

About the Lens …

Although this item is more of an entry-level product, you still get a nice, sapphire blue coated lens to help with glare reduction and promote the distribution of light. Even at dusk or dawn when the light availability is very low, you will still get very vivid, distortion-free images.

Binocular Magnification

When it comes to the magnification of these binocs., you are looking at a 10x25. For those new to bins, the first number represents how much the image should be when magnified, compared to normal viewing; the second number represents the light gathering ability (objective diameter), expressed in millimeters.

The larger the second number, the brighter the image will be once it has been expanded to its designated magnification. More high tech versions of binoculars may give a range for the first number if they are adjustable. In this case, however, this pair will magnify whatever you are looking at by ten times.

Magnacraft 10x25’s Image quality

Unlike HD (high definition), ED (extra-low dispersion) binoculars, fluorite or HT (high transmission) glass are qualities you will see in more expensive binoculars, and they greatly enhance image quality.

However, the price ranges of these types range in the hundreds to thousands of dollars, and definitely aren’t in the entry-level budget. Still, the image quality of this pair is still fantastic, and it provides very clear images that won’t leave you disappointed.

Eye Relief of the Magnacraft 10x25 Binoculars

When you hear people talk about eye relief, they are referring to the distance you can keep the eyepiece from the eye (both) and still maintain the entire field visibility. Eye relief can be an important issue if you wear glasses – not so much for beginners who only using them for short periods of time.

With this model, you aren't really going to get much eye relief here and it's really not worth mentioning. You are likely going to have to keep your eyes right up next to the rubber eye cups in order to maintain full view.

Pros of the Magnacraft 10x25s

Binocular Cons

Conclusion

Overall, if you are looking for a great pair of binoculars to help entertain you outdoors, these are a great pick. They not only come in at a good price point, but they are durable, easy to carry around.

While they not be the same quality or have as many features as binoculars that run nearly 20 to 200 times the price, they provide exceptionally clear images, considering. For outdoor use, the Magnacraft 10x25 Binoculars stand solid.
